Everything is still going great. Karen is now "unhooked" from just about everything except one IV in her neck. She is now more mobile and is getting up walking around and feeling good. From looking at her, you would never guess she just had major surgery. Creatinine level continues to drop, indicating good kidney function. They have her on a "mechanical soft" diet which means any kind of meat she gets looks like dog food because it is chopped up! She's not too happy with that.
We are still on track for her to be discharged on Monday. She will have to come back and spend Wednesday night in the hospital in preparation for a minor procedure on Thursday related to her previous dialysis treatments.
Thanks to all for your prayers, flowers, cards, emails and well wishes!

Hi Karen, Everything sounds great!!! I'll give you time to get settled in on Monday and will try to give you a call on Tuesday. Make sure that Rusty and Russ take extra special care of you when you get home tomorrow!!!!
Hugs from across the miles. Shelby sends some doggie kisses, too. Love, Gayle
We are glad all is still going well.

Hi Roses!
We have been praying for you all weekend; we were away in SC and are excited that you are about to be home quicker than we can come to visit! The quick recovery time (for generally healthy folks) has always amazed me. At least when you go home you can eat some foods that you can chew---just chew them well so you don't strain anything too much! Also, please let me know if you have any questions r/t diet therapy, etc. I hope that you have gotten a brief visit from a RD, but if not yet, you should see one in a week or 2 on the f/u visits.
Stacy and family send their love.
Love you all,
Trudy
Hi Karen
We are all thrilled with how well you are doing. You may not like being the center of conversation, but you continue to be just that during our dinner discussions.
We are just so happy for you and your family. Take care... from the Gould family in Utah.
Karen,
Wayne and I are so excited for you! We continue to pray for you and your family.

Karen,
I am so glad everything is going so well! You are amazing! I would love to see you, but I have a horrible cough and wouldn't dare come to the hosipal and spread my germs. Just know you are in my thoughts and prayers.
Love,
Donna
Hi Karen, Hopefully no updates today means you are home or in the process of getting there!! Take care. Love, Gayle
